 A FLOOD

Last year there happened a terrible flood in our village. It is a small village.The Tiver Maghna flows by the side of it. In the evening of 23 April gusty wind was blowing and the water of the river began to raise higher and higher. All of a sudden the water crossed the danger point of the river water came into our house. In the mean time rough weather along with heavy rain and thunder began. We took all the furniture and other valuable things of the house in a big hired boat and transferred them to the nearest Cyclone Centre. But this devastating flood has caused an enormous loss of the crops, houses and cattle. Water born diseases have been broken out. After all, floods created great social and economic problems.
