Folly results in disaster

Once upon a time a king desired to make his land developed and modern and whimsically ordered his men to cut down the trees\forest. The subjects carried out his order. They cut down all trees. The king was overjoyed. After some months a news disturbed his sleep. It was that the farmers did not get their crop. The king asked the minister what had really happened. the minister said that cutting down trees had had a bad effect on the country's nature. Natural balance had completely been lost. As a result, the country was going to be a desert. The king realized his folly and repented.
